Can anyone tell me why some of my leaves have started to ...

#MarbleQueenPothos
5ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 hour ago
I was having this problem too and found that by holding onto the browning leaves, it prolonged the inevitable. Once I started clipping them off the plant flourished because the roots weren’t giving energy to dying leaves. Also adding perlite (50/50) to soil helps with airflow. Hope this helps!
@DurablePuriri89 @PlantMamaMani hi there Lauren! that is overwatering damage. Pothos really don’t like being overwatered, but luckily you can turn it around before it gets much worse.

It's not always your watering that causes overwatering issues, the soil is a HUGE factor. If it is really dense and compacted it just never dries out. If you use bag soil most Lowe's and WalMart etc. NEED aeration added.
Often as high as 50% perlite or bark should be added.

Try to always remember underwatering causes less damage than overwatering. And only water when the soil is practically dry ☺️
@EnormousArugula please don’t recommend clipping off leaves like this. This kind of advice could actually hurt someone else’s plants πŸ™ˆ Plant leaves are like solar panels, all those green parts are helping the plant make food via energy from the sun. Leaves can be safely removed once they’re all brown/crispy and practically fall off in your hand. I hope this helps you and anyone else wondering!
