I need some help😭

#SpoonLeavedSundew

I’m sure it’s probably to late but I’ve only had this guy for a few weeks, and he looks like he’s slowly dyingπŸ₯²

I have him sitting in distilled water and under a grow light, I have no idea how I did this. I have three other carnivorous plants, nepenthes and a butterwort and they are all doing fine…

Are you letting the soil dry out?
@DivineMelon93 no i read that they need to be sitting in a small dish with water all the time, is that wrong?πŸ˜…
@SpookyLink I learned something new today. In my quick research, it said to avoid letting it sit in stagnant water for too long to avoid root rot. I guess that means that you shouldn’t fill it with a ton of water at once
@DivineMelon93 dang I must of added to much water and it became stagnant, it does look like it’s rottingπŸ˜“
Okay, I uploaded your picture into Google bc I have no clue about carnivorous plants
I have a few carnivorous plants but none of them have to sit in water so Im new to this one. Next time I’ll have to make sure to change to soil and watch the water. I think the soil was a problem too
@SpookyLink I would also like to add that there is multiple different categories of sundew which all need different amounts of light and water. This one seems like a tropical/indoor one. It’s likely that the soil got stagnant from how wet it is. It also looks like some sort of funky fungus took over lol.
@SpookyLink sending prayers that it lives!!!
