What are your thoughts on Water stakes ?
I bought this super cute mushroom glass water stake. And I would like to hear why your like or dislike water stakes. Lemme hear them thoughts π #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #waterstakes
@FabRubbercup I hi I had used water for a pathos for over a year and it did well. Grew more than 6 feet each way. I have 2 monsters limbs in water now . Some plants grow well in water. π§
Water stakes/globes can be good for plants that need boggy environments like carnivorous plants, but theyβre not good for most aroids or any plant that needs dry periods between waterings. Despite what they say, water globes tend to keep the soil way too wet for too long, leading to problems like fungal infections and root rot. I think theyβre great decorations, and that mushroom is adorable!
@MilkNewt what about touch me not plants? Thanks so much for your thoughts and opinions ππ
@FabRubbercup Touch-Me-Nots, if itβs the Mimosa Pudica variety, needs well draining soil that doesnβt retain moisture for long periods of time. Jewelweed, which it shares a name with and is cousin to, does like a boggy environment!! Do you happen to know which one you have?
@FabRubbercup perfect! The moss will love it π
@FabRubbercup I love, it looks great!!!! Theyβre great for moss and ferns :)
