Oh my goodness. What is this?

I'm guessing it is something fungal. What do my experts out there think. I'm telling you it seems like something new is happening every week. UGHHHHH!! #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #jodisplace #alocasiaaddicts

It may be caused by overwatering or too much humidity is my guess. May be some type of fungal issue. Does the soil get to dry out some before watering? I don’t let mine dry out completely because it will get ugly. But I had the issue of not enough humidity so I am trying to see if a humidifier will help. I had it outside because it was doing better out there than inside. But now I am trying to keep the humidifier by it inside. You may need a fan to circulate air more. Soil may be too soggy for too long. I know they don’t like soil to dry completely however
You can see my leaves look bad due to not enough humidity but I just moved it inside by the humidifier and I have a fan so we’ll see if it improves
I’m still trying to get used to this plant. Definitely picky. And it looks way different than all my cacti and succulents. Not as spiky. Super strange looking cactus. πŸ˜‚
What type of plant is this?
@LuckyCacto Hilo beauty is what it’s known as

Soil is not drying out enough. If you have a plant that requires high humidity and you are providing it, make sure your soil is chunky and loose and that your pot has slats on the side of holes on the side. If you can’t do that, you may need to cut the watering in half and instead of watering every seven days, water every four days to reduce the amount of water put in the soil at one time. When you have plants developing leaf spot which is a form of Anthracnose, you want to aerate. For now, treat it with liquid copper to speed up the process while eradicating it and stopping the spread. The leasions will turn black or yellow and eventually crudo then fall off but the fungus stops there. You may want to skip the next watering. Light yellowing off the leaf margins along with this is indicative of a sudden temp, light, and humidity shift and the plant not being able to acclimate fast enough. I have this on some plants and it’s absolutely normal for the more delicate types. @Stall54Jo
@AnthuriumQueen yeah I have noticed this plant is very picky about humidity and watering. Definitely needs a quick draining soil. I was having the complete opposite problem but hopefully the humidifier you gave me will make it happier
Thank you @AnthuriumQueen and @SirLiquorice I appreciate your info and advice.
@SirLiquorice did you connect the humidifier to your phone? You can set it to maintain a humidity level and turn itself on and off so you won’t have to. I only use distilled water to avoid having β€œsnow” on plane surfaces.
@AnthuriumQueen yeah it’s very useful especially letting me know when it’s out of water or whatever. And I always has distilled water for my carnivorous plants
@SirLiquorice good to hear! I’m still waiting on my predatory plants to arrive.
@AnthuriumQueen I’m jealous I still want some different carnivores eventually
