Is this normal for a yellow dragon fruit

I got this yellow dragonfruit cactus about three months ago and it has put out some noticeabley different growth. It this because it is maturing? I am new to dragonfruit cacti #SucculentSquad #CactusClique #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

@LucidAgapanthus in the wild, they cling to trees so, maybe it's looking for more of a brace to grab onto?
@LucidAgapanthus I would say it's etiolated, looking for more light.
@FairyFly that’s the thing though, it has been under light the whole time. It is currently under a Barrina t5. It has never been without a grow light, so I’m confused as to why it looks that way.
@FairyFly that’s what I was thinking because the growth doesn’t look etiolated, it just looks different and is creating arieal roots from the new growth.
Oh yes @LucidAgapanthus, it's climbing for you! 😁
