I agree with @Nightshade. Take the dead flowers off by hand. Otherwise you will end up with a huge amount of dead flowers at the bottom of your plant or inside the plant.
I didn’t take them off as they died and I struggled getting rid of those dead flowers. Pretty sure I still have some that I could@not reach.
