Why no new growth?

My Cissus discolor has been in stasis since I brought her home. I keep her moisturized, and she's near a humidifier. Not one new leaf. What am I not doing? #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict

Is she in sunlight?
Your close to me BTW! I'm in STL
@DevineButterfly, she gets a little from the back door that faces East, but not much. I'm not sure what's going on.
@DevineButterfly, since you live in St. Louis, have you been to any Flyleaf events? They usually have them the last weekend of the month. Lots of nice plants. Some rare. Decent prices, too.
@wolfqueen I'm with Ari on this one. No growth and long spindly stems (called etiolation) indicate insufficient light. Red on the backside of the leaves means that your plant can handle more light than you might think. Do you have either east or west facing windows?
@HypnoticTozzia she sat on a shelf that had an east-facing patio door. I moved her over by the window.
@wolfqueen Good move. Don't hesitate to open the blinds further. The secondary pigmentation indicates a fairly high light tolerance. You could consider a southern facing window with blinds such as those.
@DevineButterfly and @HypnoticTozzia, thanks so much for your advice! I moved my discolor to an East-facing window, and she's got a nice bit of new growth now!
@wolfqueen Yay!! So happy to help ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ
What's a FlyLeaf event? What have I been missing out on!?
@DevineButterfly, they're a plant nursery that holds a plant sale the last weekend of every month. I follow their Facebook page to find out when they do it. You should come some time!
