Best substrate for a Ping?

My little pinguicula is doing better than my last one. However, I don't think she's living her best life this way. What's the best type of medium for her? soil? perlite? I lost my last one, because I didn't understand they need to be kept in swamp-like levels of moisture. I'm determined to do it right this time? Any advice? Thanks in advance! #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #carnivorousplants #pinguicula #butterwort

Hi! I would suggest sphagnum moss, moss + perlite, or something like that. You’re right in that they’ll stay consistently moist with distilled water in that setting (that’s also what helps them make the gel like substance in their leaves so they can catch flies!). I’ve used a carnivorous mix that I bought online but that’s basically what it contains.
@RealSimpleMama, thank you! I'll do that. I didn't know distilled water did that. Thus far, I was using spring water.
Can i suggest you look at this from carnivero. But a standard mix is perlite 3 parts ,peat 1 part , vermiculite 1part. https://www.carnivero.com/pages/soil-mixing-guide
Carniveros premade mixes are great to if you wanted to just buy some
@TheConservator thank you. I'll check it out.
Went ahead and placed her in a well-moisturized mix of perlite and moss. Here's hoping she likes it.
I just use sphagnum moss for mine and only distilled water.
