Make sure it never gets hit with any direct sun, which will burn its delicate leaves. Calathea can be tricky, a lot of people have issues with keeping them alive. They like higher than average humidity and can be very sensitive to tap water. If the humidity in your space is below 50%, you might consider getting a humidifier. I have very hard water where I live, so I water all my plants with distilled. Also, while Calathea don't like their soil to completely dry out, they'll also rot if the soil is too soggy. Aim for keeping it evenly, consistently moist and allowing the top few inches of soil to dry out between waterings.
