The store has labeled her a "Pufferfish cactus", a Gymnocalycium (but no genus?).
Bob is also a Gymnocalycium and is really pushing out those flowers now, so not sure if this new chick will make it in time with her flowers to make some sweet love this year👀.🌸🐝🌸
BUT! I also found some seedpods that had fallen off a couple of other cactus' at the store (not Gymnocalycium, one were labeled Melocactus Bahiensis (the pink ones), and the other were just labeled "cactus ball mix"😆)! So I snatched a few and are excited to try to sow them😄🥳
