@GemWaxvine23 if that happened, it sounds like it has rotted. πŸ˜” You have to get a bit of the stem to plant an aloe leaf, so I would not recommend propping, but I would suggest against that for a rotted leaf, even if you did have a bit of the stem.

If your plant is salvageable, I would recommend repotting into a succulent soil with at least 50-70% perlite, pumice, lava rock, or orchid bark. Most store bought succulent mixes don’t have nearly enough drainage nor aeration, so you’ll have to add it yourself.

Then just keep in mind that plants in a north facing window will drink very little water compared with south, west or even east facing. North is not enough light for an aloe.

Thank you, she has become part of our family. She is a very slow grower but has been with us for over 2 yrs before this without any issues
