Prayer plant leaves drooping and curling

My lemon lime maranta has been unhappy for the past two weeks. I know prayer plant leaves curl up at night but mine has been like this constantly. Not quite sure what could be the issue, sunlight/humidity/inappropriate watering? I water it pretty regularly, when the top inch is dry. It is near a window but below the window sill, so doesn’t get a ton of sunlight. Any ideas? #PrayerPlant #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants

@ClimbingTozzia yes I would check the roots, cut the dead leaves and dead roots, then repot in a chunky mix that drains well but holds a bit of moisture. That will help with the humidity too!
Hey ES!

Normally curling like this is because of too little humidity/water. is the soil loose and easy to move your fingers through or is it hard and compacted?
@RJG Hi Drew! The soil is pretty loose so possibly low humidity? I mist it once in a while but maybe not frequently enough. Maybe I should get a pebble tray or something?
That would help. When did you last repot it?
I actually bought it about a month ago, so haven’t repotted.
I'm just wondering if you had a chance to look at the roots. It almost looks like one of my prayer plants which I overwatered for a bit and hurt the roots. I repotted it trimmed the dead and it's been thriving.

If you've repotted recently I wouldn't disturb again but if not it might be good to take a look.
Hmmm that’s a good idea, it’s been at my place for little over a month so probably safe to check the roots and repot if necessary?
Thanks a ton @RJG!!
Welcome to Greg @ClimbingTozzia I agree with @RJG
