I’m looking for some cheep grow lights on Amazon for a tiny shelf with glass walls, it would probably work if there were the strip versions of the grow lights but yeah, I need help finding trustworthy cheap options that are between 10-20 bucks for my small shelf, I’m not at home at the moment but when I get back in about two-ish days I’ll get you a picture of the shelf with measurements. But still help is appreciated.

A quick Amazon search should actually get you grow lights that work! Just look at the reviews and make sure it’s well known and bought and u should be good!
Hi we both some grow lights of a amazon.com for the winter they seem to work im sorry I don't have the link but they were just normal grow lights
i THINK, i don’t know if it’s true, but grow light are for many plants as long as you keep them close together :)
Probably, there are many different grow lights around I assume, I don't have any but I will be getting some in the future once I build a planter for my plants.
I’ve used the Barrina lights and have been very happy with them. I like the warm color option because they’re in our living area and I do t like the blue/purple myself 😊

I like the Sansi grow lights. It’s been a while since I got them so I’m not sure of price 💰. But the work well and put out enough light. I like the individual clip ons.
It doesn’t really matter what kind of grow light but more on the distance you keep it from the plant.
@Succulent_Soul it’ll be pretty close to the plant, about four-ish inches if I’m remembering correctly, but again I’m not home right now so I’m not 100% sure on measurements
Here’s the info I was given when I wanted grow lights. “different plants need different grow light intensities and spectra, though a versatile full-spectrum white LED works for most home setups. Light Intensity by Plant Type- Low light plants (Snake plants, pothos, ZZ plants, ferns): Require lower wattage or placement farther from the bulb (2 to 4 feet away). Medium-light plants -(Calathea, philodendron, herbs): Need moderate brightness at a medium distance. High-light plants (Succulents, citrus, monsteras, fiddle leaf figs): Require high-output, powerful fixtures placed much closer to the foliage (12 to 18 inches).Light Spectrum by Growth Stage - Blue light (Cooler tones, 5000K–7000K): Best for leafy green growth, stems, and starting seedlings. Red light (Warmer tones, 3000K–3500K): Crucial for prompting flowers, fruit, and mature plant performance. Full-spectrum white: Mimics natural sunlight, combining both blue and red wavelengths so you can grow any houseplant without a harsh purple glow.”. That being said- I know there are lights you can use like this one- https://a.co/d/0iNLL6zm ….or these if you have a few plants https://a.co/d/0a6SEkpk . I like the brands Barrina and SANSI myself. Hope this helps.
@LikelyChaya33 Grow lights should generally be placed 12 to 24 inches away from plants, though the exact distance depends heavily on your light's intensity, wattage, and your plant's growth stage. Weak or fluorescent lights can sit just 2 to 6 inches away, while high-powered commercial LEDs or hot HID lights need 24 to 36 inches of clearance
@MariansOasis I second Sansi I’ve heard great things!
These are mine. My succulents, Hoyas, and Tradescantias seem to especially like them 🪴☀️
@Succulent_Soul this isn't true, not all grow lights are created equal. Distance is only part of the equation, the intensity and quality of light are just as important. Wattage, efficiency, beam angle, and output all play a role.
@LikelyChaya33 I agree with others who have recommended Barrina and SANSI. Both make high quality lights for a reasonable price. They're definitely not all the same, if they were you probably wouldn't be asking for help choosing from the many lights on the market lol
Barrina and Sansi lights are the best! Very reliable, great companies, excellent lights, and budget options. You don’t want to get just random AMZN lights, they are always too weak and break too soon!
@stephongreg @izzyandsugar @Succulent_Soul @uhhh.haileyyy @debbiedo @Kittylover1612 @Slyvie @MariansOasis @SillyPlantGirl @DreamMachine I’m probably gonna use the grow lights for my succulents, although I’m now just realizing that I’m trying to buy the grow lights before I get the actual shelving, it was a gift from my family friend…but it didn’t come with it’s original glass shelves nor the light(s)…so I only have he cabinet part XD, I’m going to be back at home tomorrow at around 12:30pm PST, so I’ll get photos or a video of what I’ve got and what the measurements are so you guys know what I’m talking about.

I’ll do a video instead if it’s easier for you guys to just have me put the link of the video here once it’s recorded.
Sounds good 👍
Alright!

I found these before coming here to ask for help yesterday
@debbiedo you have AMAZING set ups for your plants. Got me thinking now …. 😉🤭
I bought this shelving unit last year. It came with lights like the ones you have listed (1,2,3 etc). I’m on the fence about them because 2 of my plants died and another 3-4 took a big hit. Granted, my plants only come inside for the winter, and if we have bad weather- so I cannot blame their deaths on the lights 100%. I added another light - https://a.co/d/06jNStw1 and that’s why you see the purple glow. Then I bought this light to go in my main plant room- mine is a 60 watt and it is SO bright. You see, my house is an old one and nobody thought windows were a good idea. So I had to buy grow lights fast so all of my 100+ plants survived, I have more than necessary- I’m sure, and I’m still learning. My point- do research on your plants and what the best light for that plant. Like I mentioned- there are Low, Medium and High light requirements for certain plants. Looking at your Oasis, I see a lot of succulents- so I would think #’s 1-5 would work for them. Hoping someone with more experience with grow lights reads what I’m saying and can either agree or disagree. As a teenager I’m sure cost is an issue for you- so that recommendation is just my thoughts. 🪴💕
@SillyPlantGirl Thanks Catherine! Your set up is awesome too!! I just keep slowly taking over ALL.THE.SPACES 😉😂🪴☀️
@LikelyChaya33 here you go, for succulents especially, these are good quality, budget friendly grow lights: https://a.co/d/04hv12tS

It’s what I use under my shelves
@LikelyChaya33 i think you should get a line (?) not a circle.. 1 or 5 is good… i live in florida so i don’t need to buy grow lights.. i’m so sorry!
@LikelyChaya33 hi so sorry I’ve have been on the app lately but I’m back. Hope you got your answer 🙏🏽🫶🏽
Not gonna lie I’m not gonna take the time to scroll down and look through all these comments just because I know when it comes to lights there can be thousands of opinions not to mention thousands of price point and different types of lighting. Personally, I have grown some multi thousand dollar plants with some $50 lights from Walmart. I suggest you get on walmart .com.

Here’s my last one hangin to dry
This type of full spectrum led panel in the middle is a 12”x12” like the mars hydro TS1000 but from Walmart for a 10th the price & came with 2. The smaller thinner but equally as long lights on each side of it has the same amount of LEDs, which creates a higher intensity in a smaller area. They were roughly $30 each. Middle square light was about same price.
Full Spectrum is the only thing you want
@LikelyChaya33 when it comes down to it then you want something cheap. I’m not an Amazonian I’m a Walmart person myself that being said you can get $400 light for in between $30-$100 at Walmart. How do I know because I grow. “WhoKnewWhoKnew” dang Walmart commercials lol seriously tho the things you can get at Walmart 🤯
@OhGollyItsJolly I have looked at my local Walmart multiple times but there are always these two main problems

1. The lights are too big and/or too strong for what I’m looking for

2. This kinda goes with number1, but the lights are too expensive at the time
@stephongreg @izzyandsugar @Succulent_Soul @uhhh.haileyyy @debbiedo @Kittylover1612 @Slyvie @MariansOasis @SillyPlantGirl @DreamMachine @OhGollyItsJolly

I’m going to be using the grow lights for my succulents, I’ve decided that, I just don’t know what the heck I’m looking for…I just got done looking at different types of grow lights…and I have no idea how many whatever it is…watts i think? Idk how many watts nor do I know if the light color matters for succulents, again I don’t even have the shelf layers if that makes sense…but I’d still like to have the lights before I get those so that I can just have them when I put things together…I hope all this makes sense
I would use the brightest color if it’s for succulents
Lyra, here is an article from TheSpruce on grow lights. It may help you understand better. It has all kinds of lights, setups etc. https://www.thespruce.com/best-grow-lights-4158720 🪴💕
@LikelyChaya33 realistically I have to say you’re trying too hard. It’s a light you can screw a lightbulb into a socket any will work. “I have one of these too that has roughly 500leds” depends on what kind of money you want to spend $20 or $20,000 just saying, different name brands different types of diodes. The only thing that really matters, be paying attention to is full spectrum is what matters most & the amount of LEDs for your money honestly that being said there are so many difference Spectrum color temperatures again depends on how crazy you want to go or grow. here’s what I have & grow 1000s of dollars worth of plants with I have 2 other lights also but these are a great value. I’ve had for 2 years so far absolutely no issues with anything. Wouldn’t let me link it🤷🏻‍♂️
But if you get on the Walmart website and look up AOKSUN the very top one with 2 12”x12” panels 39.99 from all the lights that I have seen and use this $40 light is comparable to a $250 one & comes with 2 in the package i use 2 of them about a foot apart for maximum coverage.

@LikelyChaya33 if you want tons of information with lab test results from final products and yields check out Jeremy Silva at build a soil YouTube. A business he started in his garage. Now has some of the best growing and gardening items available on the planet. that is if you’re trying to get all scientific got data sheets for days over there lol.
again, you’re trying too hard.
@LikelyChaya33 I don’t know many teens that care about plants- at least I haven’t seen many on here. I have 3 teen grandkids that only want to play on their phones! I think it’s great that you’re trying to get info on things you don’t understand. You can tag me anytime with anything, and I’ll help as best as I can.
@LikelyChaya33 cuz you already got lots of cheep options i wanted to tell you one of my favorite things is to get a lamp and then you got grow light bulbs. Here are some examples.
