Soooo, I did something stupid 🥲
I was febreezing my room (which is something I RARELY do) and as a stupid thought I was like “LET ME FEBREEZE MY SOLOMON SEAL! 😄” and then I realized that MAYBE I shouldn’t have done that! I think my plant has gnats and I haven’t had time to treat it (even though I’ve been letting the soil get very dry) which was why I did it and now I’m worried! My plants had been declining and yellowing so I DONT think FEEBREZING IT HELPED! I took this guy from the woods. PLEASE HELP! I think it might not be getting enough light because I don’t know if this corner gets light and I think I took low shade to heart 😅 Any help will be greatly appreciated! 😭 #PlantAddict #WhatTheSuccWednesday #SolomonSealClub #NotSoHappyPlants #NotFreshLeafFriday

@PlantyPlanter omg if the dirt smells bad, pls change the soil immediately LMAO also, try to wipe the stem/leaves with isopropyl and water, or if you don’t have alcohol, use soapy water mix! Dish soap will do!!
@PlantyPlanter I had the problem where I would accidentally spray my bf in the face with it but NEVER to treat plants, my dear omg 😩😩😩😩 let’s add this to a list of what NOT to do to treat gnats pls 💀💀💀
@PlantyPlanter idk I think the soil being smelly is signs of bacteria or rot forming/starting 🫠 I wouldn’t want ur plant to die or get sick and then die
@PlantyPlanter soil from outside usually isn’t the best idea. Do any of your other plants have a little to much soil?? And you can borrow some from a few plants.if you can’t repot spray the soil with diluted hydrogen peroxide to help kill the bacteria

Sorry I was at work! If you’re gonna use outdoor soil, either boil water and dump it in the soil and then let dry to kill anything or do as @Jilliebeanstalk says to disinfect soil!

@PlantyPlanter oh no! I have accidentally sprayed my plants, only 2, with my homemade granite cleaner. It’s consists of alcohol, blue dawn and water. Thank goodness it didn’t hurt my plants.
