What are these spots on my umbrella plant?

I noticed these spots today. They are on a few stems and seem slightly raised. Is it scale? #UmbrellaTree #PestControl #helpneeded #GregGang #GreggersSupportingGreggers

Can you scratch them off and they look buglike when you look from below? Then it might be a scale infestation. Another way to test (and treat) is to dab isopropyl alcohol on them and see what happens.
I agree with @MusicalRedmint Looks like scale.
I agree, that is scale. For some reason they like umbrella plants. You can spray the plant with rubbing alcohol or dip a qtip in rubbing alcohol and then wipe off each scale you can see. That method works and then once a week or so take the hole plant out side or in the shower, spray with water hose on a gentle spray or mist setting to wash dead pest off, and when the plant dries, spray thoroughly with neem oil. Just avoid direct sun after neem oil. It could burn the leaves. You may need to repeat neem oil 2xs a week for a couple weeks and then 1x per week until the problem is gone.
@MusicalRedmint I rubbed them with rubbing alcohol and nothing came offโ€ฆ
Then I don't know what it is, I'm sorry. Scale should come off with a bit of pressure. Maybe someone else has a different suggestion what it might be
@MusicalRedmint yeah Iโ€™ve had scale on cactus before and it came right off with alcohol. So weirdโ€ฆ
I know one of my cattleyas has similar spots from dried dew, if I don't remove it. And on my one phal oedema presented like this once. I don't know umbrella plants even the tiniest bit though, so I don't think I have any other ideas.
