I’m not sure what’s going on with my elephant plant.

I only water when completely try. I’m using my meter stick. It sits in the west window , no direct sun.

Please help as my plant is turning brown and yellow 🥺. #ElephantEar #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict

Perhaps repotting. I’m having the same issue with my corn plant 🌱 & folks on this site suggested repotting. It has helped!! Good luck! The plant is beautiful!!

I am going to suggest either a watering issue or the dreaded fungus issue. I have become aware recently that when there is a yellow halo around the brown that this is a strong indicator of fungus.

Fungus is contagious, so I would watch others carefully and isolate your plant.

@clairsheart yes I did have it by a window close to my front door.
I checked the soil last night and I think I’m having a watering issue.
I’m excited to say I’m getting a new leaf so it’s not root rot .
