Many of the leaves tips are brown and dry, what should I ...

#PonytailPalm
1ft to light, indirect
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 days ago
Mist it every few days. Brown tips are usually a sign that there isn’t enough moisture in the air.
@imamoose That's a beautiful big baby!! 😍Yes you can give it a haircut! πŸ˜„ Make sure the soil is dry before watering. They store water in their Caudex(trunk). They also like a lot of sunshine. The more the better! πŸ’šπŸ‘
Clip them this palm should be watered every 2 wks and put by a window with bright light and spray leave with distilled water πŸ’§ or let faucet water sit for 2 days to get chlorine out dont fertilize yet
@imamoose Hi Larissa! I love your name! I am a ponytail freak! I always give my babies a haircut when the tip start browning! They should only brown on the very tips! If it’s more than that then you should try to figure out what is happening that they aren’t fond of! Ponies only need water about every three weeks during the winter, unless they are in a heated greenhouse or something. They rest during the winter and don’t use much water, if they sit in it they will start browning and dropping leaves. Always make sure the soil is completely dry before watering, even during the growi by season. They hold water in the big trunk so don’t use it unless they need it! Just trim the very tips of the leaves, mine appreciate a nice day at the salon getting a trim and their leaves wiped clean! Good Luck!πŸͺ΄πŸ˜
