I've been watering my Rattlesnake plant with distilled water for 2 years and he has the same brown rust-looking spots. These starting appearing about 3 months ago.
The problem is not the water!
I could use help....like Cliff.
Thanking everyone in advance π€π

I think this is some kind of fungus or bacteria, I am not quite sure. I used to get this on my Makoyana during winter, and as I cut away the leaves, new healty ones arrived in spring and summer. Untill the spots emerged again in winterπ€·ββοΈ
I heard someone call it kind of a "cold", as they are more susceptible (in my place) in winter (as the weather is cooler, inside air is dryer, and less light). And I really feel that it fits.
So your plants might be just a little stressed out, just enough for the bacteria or fungi to take a little hold. I am not sure of the treatment though π Mine kind of went away as the plants grew older and stronger (and I got a humidifyer during winterπ€) Maybe @DreamMachine knowsβ€οΈ
If you are misting the plants, please stop, as the droplets makes it easier for infections to take hold π

Hi Veronika!
Thanks for responding... π€
So...my Rattlesnake has always been in the same spot from when he was a baby.
I never ever mist ANY of our plants and am careful not to splash water on their leaves.
Just in case, as I usually do, am going to make sure that he's almost completely dry before watering and...will switch back to bottom watering to see if that helps.
