If you don't find your plant in the list that comes up when you take a picture, tap the magnifying glass in the search bar and enter the plant name. There are times it won't recognize the name. At that point, you need to contact Greg support and have them add the plant.
@GracedStrapwort ya it doesn’t even recognize the scientific name 🥴Greg needs to work on the app & make some updates
Is there another name for it that the app would recognize?
@OhGollyItsJolly I always Google for other names. So far that has worked for me. 😊
So what you’re trying to do is add a cross, hybrid, or cultivar…there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of new cultivated plants in the world, because individuals, or nurseries, or researchers are creating and breeding new ones all the time, it would be quite impossible for Greg to keep up with those. So pick the one of the parents of your cross (I see both parents in the database), and then you can name your hybrid in the name category if you like.
This is probably your closest match🤷‍♀️
@DreamMachine well honestly it can’t be that rare it came from Tractor supply that’s a box store … which only sell commonly available trees there were no strings pulled.
@OhGollyItsJolly hahaha, well I believe what Greg lists as “rare” is how many people on Greg have that particular plant 😄 It’s not an actual representation of rarity in the market or world.
