Are systemic granules safe for fruit bearing trees?

Hello everybody! I have not been on greg for a long time because I dropped my phone in water lol. I am so excited to be back on Greg. Anyways, a few months ago my lemon tree got scale insects. I treated for them successfully, but the tree died for some reason. I have decided to not take this chance again and bought systemic granules off Amazon. I was wondering if they are safe for fruit trees because I heard that the way that they work is that they make the plant toxic. Thanks! #HappyPlants #GregGang
I wouldn’t eat the fruit from a tree that had systemic pesticides applied. I think they are meant for non-woody annual crops which metabolize faster and don’t store chemicals in their bark.
@SubAlp Thank you!
Welcome back!
