Hey guys I’m trying to grow a cacao tree it’s currently winter here in Australia and I don’t live in a tropical climate. The nursery I bought the tree from said this type of cacao tree can tolerate the frost/cold. My tree to me looks like it could be dying I’m not sure what to do I’ve tried spraying it with neem oil a plant friend recommended it, but she’s never grown a cacao tree. I’ll add some pictures of my tree and where I bought it from. If anyone has any ideas on what I could be doing wrong or what I can do to fix it, I would really appreciate the help.
Thanks. #CacaoTree

@OscarTheCacao Hey Jessica, I am in Perth but have been to Criffth so you have a nice hot climate at times ! I would love to have a cocoa tree. I would recommend repotting it and also using distilled water as the current water might be slowly poisoning it judging from the leaves. It may be lacking certain nutrients so I would also consider substituting with the distilled water and a diluted fertilizer to start with. You could also check the light levels with a light meter app.

Here are some articles to assist you isolate your particular issues with the plant. I hope this helps answer your question, all the best!
