I made another Carnivorous plant bog garden, this time with a drainage hole and cork stopper so I can drain excess rain. 🌧️
I drilled a hole in this plastic candy dish, added LECA and a tad bit of sphagnum moss on the bottom. A layer of sand, then carnivorous plant soil. I planted a spoon-leaved sundew and a Venus fly trap and added some live Sphagnum moss around the plants for added moisture retention & aesthetic purposes. I looove how this turned out and I am hoping these two plants I put in here will do well. They are both already acclimated to my back porch so we will see!
I added some crystals & a tiny ceramic duck because I shouldn't have to dump this over to drain it.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking when I planted this sundew, I knew it wasn't a cape, but 🤷. I probably will switch it out with a Venus fly trap or my thread Leaf Sundew which does require a dormancy. Of course I pick the one sundew that doesn't need to go dormant that I have in my collection! 😁😊
