Good evening! I just got this plant yesterday and repotted it. I tried googling how long to wait till I can water it and it said about a month. Iβm new to this plant but a month sounded like a long time so if anyone could tell me whether or not thatβs true and if itβs not to let me know how long I really should wait, Iβd appreciate it!
Also Iβm looking into getting a humidifier so if anyone has any suggestions there thatβd be great π

10β pot with drainage
Last watered 4 months ago
@n3rf.or.nothing I definitely wouldnβt wait a month. I have a few of these plants and I water them every 7-8 days. Mine are in 8 inch pots. I water 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups every week. Best way to tell if she requires water is to check by sticking your finger or a chopstick at least an inch deep in the soil. If it no soil sticks to your finger or chopstick, itβs time to water.
Great question! I also don't wait a month even when in shock. When in shock they do drink less. But they also need some water.
You just don't want soaking wet soil. Feel free to water when the soil dries out. Make sure your soil has at least 50% aeration in the form of perlite, bark or pumice. I do wait for the soil to dry betelween waterings.
I have 2 humidifiers for two different rooms. I will share the link to mine which run nonstop. I like that I can set them to the humidity I like and it will stop running when it reaches that humidity and when it drops below that it will start running again. It has the cool or warm air. But always use cool air (warm breeds bacteria).

@Ponytailmom So do I. I like to see how people organize and enjoy their collection. Everybody has such unique ways to display theirs! It just not the same seeing one plant at a time. And thank you Darah π©·
