#FrenchHydrangea this was deemed as an “indoor houseplant“ when purchased and now the Hydrangea blooms are fading. Do I cut back to soil or will it likely not rebloom, similar to cut flowers? Anyone else out there have any success with keeping a hydrangea as an indoor arrangement?
3ft to light, indirect
12” pot with drainage

I wouldn’t cut it back to the soil. Just remove the spent flowers and keep the leaves healthy. Most bloom once a season, if the variety is called “Endless Summer” it might rebloom.

Keeping one happy indoors long-term is possible, but it’s definitely more challenging than growing it outside.
@FamedGymealily thank you for the advice! I snipped the spent flowers off since they were crispy. I’m not sure which variety they were but they were beautiful while they lasted.
@AgileLavender25 glad you could enjoy them while they lasted. If you have space outside you can move them there and give a tiny amount of fertilizer to help recover. Some summer sun will help them recover and hopefully have beautiful blooms again next year.
