Chainie (Crassula muscosa aka Watch Chain) and Chalkie ( Senecio Blue Chalk) got their new pots. #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #Senecio #Crassula
Here are links for the pots: large pots https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NVJG3TH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_D9J68G0RHPHTFV79CDAK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ; small pots set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JLG6W2V?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Those look amazing!
@vvvelo love them, they look great. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ
Good job! They look great. Both pots are perfect. ๐Ÿ˜€
Thank you! @KikiGoldblatt @Pegster @sarahsalith ๐Ÿคฉ
Nice, your plants look healthy ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ how often do you water your blue chalks? Lol and how do you manage to keep your chain of watches so nice and green, tbh I always see others shriveled up and have very little green on them :/
@AguaViviente Thanks for your good comment! For watering for all my succulent I go with good old โ€œsoak and dryโ€ method, I water probably once a week when the weather is warm and once in 2-3 weeks in winter. Also I watch the soil and the plant by itself- I try to keep the soil dry for a long time and watch the leaves, as soon as I see wrinkles on the leaves = time to water! โ˜บ๏ธ I guess Chalkie in his growing season now โ€ฆ he just likes me and I do not do anything special for him, except the new bigger potโ€ฆ ;)
@vvvelo thanks for sharing, I need to get that โ€œsoak & dryโ€ method down. Lol
@AguaViviente also I try to follow Gregโ€™s recommendation for watering, but sometimes I disagree with Greg โ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜
@vvvelo chalkaticks are definitely in growing season! I picked up a stray "cutting" from the side walk of a building that had broken off the mother plant. Took it home and it already grew about an 1/8 more in just a 3 weeks! I was watering mine about every 4-5 days... but how that's its rooted I've backed off to every 10 days or so.
@vvvelo Question for you. Would you put chalkaticks in a south facing window or outside on a west facing deck where it will get 5-6 hours of direct sun? I have either option but finding mixed opinions online. I want to keep mine in pot not landscape, I guess a lot of people use them for So Cal landscapes out here so the growing is a bit different when your doing that. Mine has been on a south-facing windowsill for a month since planting from the cutting but thinking of making a slow intro to the deck. Thoughts?
@roxyvivien Iโ€™d keep in south window. Iโ€™m keeping mine under grow light
@roxyvivien what about watering I would recommend you to watch leaves. If you noticed wrinkles on the leaves - it is time to water ๐Ÿ’ฆ Then you can develop your watering schedule for this plant. Unless you add it to Greg and will follow its instructions.
Thanks! @vvvelo I'll watch the leaves for sure. That's something I'm learning more to check rather than just checking the soil! ๐Ÿ™ โ™ฅ
