I've usually got at least one half-unfurled leaf or microscopic pup by the time #freshleaffriday rolls around that I forget to show off 😭 I'll throw in some #whatthesuccwednesday in appreciation of my new acquisitions (long story short, the driveway is getting graded and these guys were dangerously close to the red) and exploding ox tongue.
I've never had a philo before, I don't have much of a hand with tropicals and didn't expect it to enjoy the desert like it has been. It's a great addition to the kitchen, and holds the sign that warns guests my hot water will scald. My own little inside joke as he loves the steam. The tiny brownspine prickly pear, I almost ran over and ran late collecting instead, pictured framed by the pencil cactus that ended up being the most difficult of the lot. Still only ended up with about 20 glochlids. The rainbow siblings, I've been eyeing for months. Finally found time without a four year old underfoot to excavate them.
