Philodendron birkin mystery: what's next?!
So I found this specimen at my local Home Depot and knew I had to take it home! Was totally shocked to see the stems, especially the half pink/half white one. Does anyone have any guesses as to what happened with this particular plant and what kind of leaves it could produce in the future?! Hoping for a philodendron pink birkin leaf, but who knows what kind of leaves will be in my future!
8ft to light, indirect
5β pot with drainage
Last watered 3 years ago
Do you know what supplier the plant came from? From what Iβve seen the Costa Farms ones will be labled βHybridβ and they give them their own names.
But I think @HoyaAddict is right. The stem looks a lot like their Rojo Congo

@HoyaAddict is on point! I've inherited a birkin as a gift. It started out like this and kicked back to the Rojo Congo colors.
Some sources say to keep it in bright light/full sun to keep up the variegated colors.
I've also seen articles talk about pruning the solid leaves to "encourage" the variegated leaves, too.
Good luck! Happy planting β¨οΈ

Thanks for all the help @HoyaAddict @Beeps @Tica! Excited to see what leaves this produces. π
@lexindoorjungle I love a half reverted birkin! Enjoy its transformation π
