I just wanted to show off my Thai constellation #Monstera I’ve had her I think about a week now and I’ve been soo happy with the progress.

I bought it with a new leaf unfurling and was a little worried about it acclimating while supporting the new growth but it’s turning out even more beautiful than I anticipated.
Feeling so lucky😩

I’ve got a stick from outside supporting it right now but I think I’ve decided I’m going to let it crawl in a rectangular pot instead of force it vertical😬 my goal is a huge monstera.. wish me luck lol

Little photographical timeline to go with lol (hope they don’t turn sideways😬πŸ˜ͺ) #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict
3ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
Very nice! 🀩 Great choice and lovely variegation. But I’m not sure what you mean by letting it crawl and not forcing it horizontal? πŸ€” Monstera’s are climbing plants, so if you let it climb upwards/vertically you will get the BIG leaves 😁

Also huzzah! Your pictures are not sideways πŸ˜‚
@DreamMachine Hi! Thank you! My local greenery has a giant Thai con growing in a large circular pot. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures to show what I mean but I found a good one on tiktok.

To further explain though, at my local greenhouse they don’t have the aerial roots attached to something like a moss pole, instead they use a larger pot to allow more room for the roots to β€œcrawl” into the soil. Which makes the stems giant and gives off huuuge leaves.

Below is an example of what I was saying from TikTok and I think that is a 10 inch pot that it’s in just for size reference!
@DreamMachine and I definitely meant vertical lol I get them mixed up sometimesπŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚
