#CarnivorousClub #CarnivorousPlants I am so excited to show off this little guy. Winter care should be easy but Iβll have my work cut out for me in the summer.

@MariansOasis Thank you! From what I understand, it can take 2-3 years for them to even get to this size. These guys are a serious labor of love.
@TwistedxSinner oh wow! Definitely a plant for people who are patient! Orchids are the same way. I donβt mind waiting βΊοΈ. Looks like youβve got a few carnivorous. That Melisandre is beautiful too!!
@MariansOasis Thank you! I love your begonias!
@LaSiguanaba it is a Darlingtonia ^_^ Not sure why Greg calls it a California Pitcher plant but likeβ I guess thatβs technically correct haha
@TwistedxSinner they are so cute when they are small! I love it! π
@TwistedxSinner I know some here who grows them and calls them Cobra lilies!
Dr Wiki tells me:
βDarlingtonia californica also called the California pitcher plant, the Oregon pitcher plant, cobra lily or cobra plantβis a species of carnivorous plant in the new world pitcher plant family, Sarraceniaceae. It is the sole species within its monotypic genus, Darlingtonia. The cobra lily is native to Northern California and Oregon, in the western United States, where the climateβwhile typically thought of as cool and humidβmay be quite arid for many months of the year, more so than many carnivorous or pitcher plant genera could feasibly survive (such as Heliamphora, Nepenthes or Sarracenia).β
@LaSiguanaba actually went to a park that is all Darlingtonias and share with us some photos on them βin the wildβ
