My Hoya Carnosa Compacta plant is NOT well. Anyone of my plant friends that can offer advice/help to me would make me very happy. It was not real healthy when I got her, but since has been going downhill rapidly. HELP! Thank you 😊 #TheWateringHole
Oooow so sorry she’s not doing well ☹️. I find it difficult when a Hoya that size is sickly, to turn things around. Probably best to get a look at the roots and soil to see what’s happening. One of mine went through tough times when small. It had mealies which I treated with neem oil and it reacted poorly to it. Leaves wilted and turned yellow. I thought it was on deaths door πŸšͺ πŸͺ¦ 😒. Long story short because of the mealy bugs I put it outside where it could get the best light, humidity & maybe some natural mealy predators - sink or swim dude! It looked horrible for months and then turned a corner and there was some healthy new growth. It’s still a very tempermental plant, leaves still continue to yellow now and then but it’s still growing and blooming πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ!
I’m finding with my smaller hoya cuttings that putting them in a humidity dome is helping them recover and build good root systems. I have an acrylic shoe box from Amazon that put on a heating mat next to a grow light and they take off in there. When they’re a little stronger and sturdier I start acclimating them to ambient humidity.
@MamaLinne @MariansOasis thank you ladies 😍
