Bringing my tradescantia inside

I cut the wild #tradescantiazebrina in my front yard. They were in a random abandoned pot my mom had left out. My daughter's had stuck a couple of cuttings in there in spring, and they took off. Heck they look better than the tradescantia in my house! So today I cut them down and stuck them in a pot before the cold really gets to them good. I found a little trick (not a Sherri original) on the internet with the Zebrina. If you want to avoid the stringy look, when a new set of leaves appears, you need to carefully pluck the third (middle) little leaf in the center of the other 2 large ones. What you are left with is a set of two leave another set of Leo leaves growing directly under it - no strings… after several sets of leaves grow downward this way - assuming it is growing as a hanging plant or a wall plant, you avoid the stringy look you tend to get with the zebrina when grown as a hanging plant.
One more quick tip… (again not a SHERRI original) if you are lucky enough to have a very healthy full plant, try putting it in full sun - it will turn a number of different beautiful colors!
@WizardGrapeivy thank you Sherri!
The outside put was actually in full sun. Probably why it's so gorgeous. I'm definitely trying full sun next summer
