Lmfaoooooo I can’t with you and this cactus πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I was browsing website of Planet Deser recently. And I almost picked a cactus with no spikes…. Lol. But then eventually I ordered 4 new succulents, and they are on the way to me 🀩🀩
Wow that’s so awesome. So crazy it’s grown that much.
@vvvelo you should still get a spineless cactus. You will love it. Especially when they flower. And the care will already be basically what you’re already used to.
@SirLiquorice I was looking at this dude 😁
@SirLiquorice you see how it has your favorite glued on flower πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
@vvvelo that's super cool Vladimir
@RJG @SirLiquorice but I am afraid that it will elongate and lose its sphere shape.
@vvvelo they usually keep the spherical shape. I have some of those myself. They just get bigger. But they grow so slow you won’t even notice much growth
@vvvelo one of mine is currently flowering right now
@vvvelo this one has looked the same for about two years now. It has grown some more dots but barely. Super slow growers and they don’t need water often. So you won’t need to worry about it losing it’s shape. You can find pics of larger ones
Oh wow @vvvelo that is a very cool looking cactus. I think you should get it.
@Stall54Jo yeah I don’t think @vvvelo will regret getting one of those astrophytum at all. They are pretty easy to care for. Just need lots of light and dry soil. They don’t like high humidity or too much water. They can be rot prone so I just don’t water mine very often. Especially be careful not to overwater in the winter when dormant. But they are very low maintenance and very very slow growers. So they won’t take up much space at all. Could fit in the same spot for years and years probably. And they do seem to flower fairly often once old enough. Flowers don’t last really long but most cacti flowers don’t. And you can find exotic hybrids from Japan that will gain value and can be sold for more later. There’s some pretty cool hybrids they have made. And it should keep that same look and shape even as it grows larger as long as it’s getting the right light. They seem to do well indoors or outdoors for me but may have more flowers growing them outdoors. The one I have inside may not be old enough to flower yet. So that also may be why it hasn’t. Even outside it may need to wait a few years to mature enough to flower. If I remember right I think they are native to Texas so they seem to like dry soil and lots of heat and sunlight. They probably get some shade from trees and shrubs in the wild but they still are used to hot sun and weather.
Omg, the grown up version is a bit ... shall we say ... suggestive? 😳 Love the photo with blooms encircling each child - looks like they're all wearing hot pink garters. 🀭
Drew @RJG, I (being a plant nerd but not an app nerd) have no clue how to respond to your funny message (willing to be taught), so all I will say is ... Indeed we do, Drew, indeed we do. 😁
@ThePorchLady which funny message πŸ‘€
