@Sarahsmile Aphids. Seeing those little guys made me feel so itchy! π« I bathed my turtles in glorious Insecticidal soap π§Ό left no turt untouched π’
@Forbes57 thanks! Im happy I was able to catch it before they spread to my other plants π¬ that would've been heartbreaking π
@addicted2growth makes me what to get out the soap and soak mine! Iβm itching for you!!
@Sarahsmile Definitely stay vigilant!! Recovery has been successful...this time
I recently went to a large outside garden show in Vero Beach and came away with an additional 6 new plants including a string of pearls and a string of turtles neither of which I have ever had before but had always wanted. It's only been 2 weeks but I'm pleased to say that they are still alive! However they are outgrowing their pots and will have to be reported soon. I've heard this is not an easy task. Suggestions welcome and appreciated.
@NewMingthing40 congratulations on the new plants! I find repotting my "strings" is easiest when the soil is dry; I usually flip the pot over into my hand to gently support the pearls/turtles. You're bound to lose a couple turtles/pearls in the process, just try to be gentle and make sure youre aware of all the dangling strings while you're completing the repot. Its also a great time to check for pests, those little suckers love to hide under the plump growth. π
