Keep or chop string of turtles flowers?

Keep or chop the flowers?

I had no idea string of turtles flowers! He’s really new, but apparently really likes the fertilizer I used. Question is, since he’s so new… I’m wondering if I should let him flower a little bit or just chop them off? #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #StringOfTurtles #HappyPlants

Wow yours looks amazing! I think the flowers are adorable 😍. I think for these plants people only chop them off because they don't like the look of them, rather than because they are very costly for the plant's energy. I let my peperomias flower and they have never seemed like it exhausted them. Maybe others know different? πŸ’•πŸŒΏ
@LuxuryMint ah, good to know! He seems really happy so maybe I’ll let them flower and chop after they die off πŸ˜„
I think they kind of fall off by themselves quite neatly. Or at least they do on several of my bigger Peperomia species. I would be so excited if my string of turtles ever got big enough to flower. Yours is definitely inspiring! πŸ˜πŸŒΏπŸ’•
Wow! He’s a beaut!! What fertilizer did you use? I just got some cuttings from a friend & would love my lil dude to plump up like this πŸͺ΄πŸ’–
@RainbowFairy I got Liqui-dirt all purpose nano powder (follow the instructions, it’s super concentrated and will last forever) I originally got it for all my monstera’s but read that it’s for succulents too, so figured why not - then boom! Happy flowers! πŸ˜„ good luck with your cutting! It’s been a really fun little plant
@UnbrokenViszsla oh my gosh, I’ve heard soooo many wonderful things about liquidirt. It’s time to go get some! I’ve been using miraclegro succulent plant food & the regular plant food, but liquidirt seems to be much better. Thanks for letting me know!
I always leave my pep flowers, but I kinda love them πŸ’•
