I finally did it. My two beautiful girls, Lydia and Verdi, my philodendrons bipennifolium and Florida green, were leggy toward their bases. The petioles had space between them that was getting too big. I decided to chop them and propagate them, hoping to grow new roots and help them look better. Itbwas painful to do it, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Have any of you done this before? How did it go? #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #philodendron

Philli, you are brave! I need to do this with my Paraiso Verde. Seeing the work you've done is encouraging! Hope your plants will grow strong!
It’s crazy to whack them off like that, right?! I haven’t done those plants specifically but have done it a few times. Usually it goes well and everything looks better than ever! πŸŒ±β˜€οΈβ€οΈ
