Was walking around my yard and saw my lilac trees blooming. They haven't bloomed for a few years. I decided to cut a couple branches so I could have fresh flowers in the house. flowers">#freshflowers #lilac

@LightRubbertree I was lucky I caught them in bloom. Michigan has some tricky seasons.

@LightRubbertree A rental I lived in years ago had a lilac tree so I experimented with baked goods, making infused sugar and simple syrups. It's a nice way to hold onto that fragrance a bit longer 💕

What beautiful lilacs you have or get to enjoy! We planted mini lilac bushes last year, but haven’t had any success with blooming yet! One day, I hope some beautiful lilacs like yours! Michigan is such a tricky planning area! Congratulations on mastering it! 👏🏻🪴🥰
