Rosettes can grow anywhere a leaf used to be on a stem. Give it time and be cautious with watering. I had a painted lady that got sick out of where and I kept it’s trunk. Rosettes emerged. One fell off last month. I stuck it in the soil next to the trunk. It’s growing. The other rosette looks like it’s about to drop but it’s healthy. Hang in there! It’ll take time but it may come back in full force!
