Birthday gift mix-up with my ZZ plant saga
My birthday was on the 23rd and I’ve gotten so many plants as gifts and some I bought for myself! But this by far is my favorite!!
I was telling my cousin how bad I wanted a variegated ZZ plant! So she called me yesterday and said she bought me one 😭😭 I was literally so shocked she got one and so quickly!
She dropped it off a couple hours ago and when I saw it I gave her the biggest hug! I didn’t have the heart to tell her that this wasn’t it- that in fact it was a regular one that was just extremely damaged 😂 my daughter has claimed it for herself at the moment and is extremely excited to have mommy’s “wish list” plant 😂😂😂
Although I don’t think I’ll be able to save the damaged parts I think it’ll survive! For now we’ll pretend it is a variegated one and I’ll tell her it reverted when the time comes 👀

Happy belated birthday!! That was such a great gesture on your cousin’s part. I just hope they didn’t sell this to her as a variegated ZZ.. I too covet a variegated ZZ.. in the mean time I got the next best thing a Chameleon ZZ.. they are actually very pretty also.. the one I have has a stem of white/cream leaves that are starting to turn green, but there’s two new ones coming in… and I just looked on Etsy and they have some for a decent price..

@AC73LoveCats @user57179bb0 I wish it was but it isn't, it looks like it was due to weather damage possibly cold she got it ata local meijers and I know they have plants outside, but with Michigan weather it'll be 60 at 10am and 35 a 2pm lol
