sooo my prayer plants .. literally all 4 just decided to die at the exact same time and day… any idea why?!

It's the self watering pots they are death traps.

Unfortunately no plant can survive being wet constantly. When in self watering pots they continually are absorbing water leading to continually wet soil.

In time this catches up to you for 2 main reasons.

1. Wet soil lacks oxygen, plants need oxygen for root devolopment and also to be able to absorb water and nutrients. Without oxygen they lose that ability. Leading to a nutrient deficient plant that is also thirsty even though surrounded by water. It essentially downs them.

2. Wet soil also leads to bacteria growth. Bacteria LOVE wet soil because there is no oxygen. Once it starts growing it multiplies rapidly. Then they get hungry and start to feed on your plants roots causing the dreaded "root rot"

Sorry about the plants. use them as pen holders instead. But don't give up, get some new ones and avoid those pots at all costs. 😢🩷
@SuperbRaspfern dang they have been thriving in them for over 2-3 years!
@SuperbRaspfern thank you so much! I’ll get some new plants for sure I enjoy them
@Plantlo I know, it's quite deceiving. They do good for a while and then all of a sudden. BOOM! It catches up to them.
