Agave 'Blue Glow' survives pests and thrives

You know, I’ve got to say that I really named this guy appropriately. He’s been through #AgaveWeavels, #BlackAphids, #spidermites and he’s still holding on. His blades won’t recover from those spots but he’s doing really, really well. I’ve got to baby him a bit more but he’s doing fine. He’s definitely a fighter.

I love his color-what a gorgeous guy! πŸ’š
@Propa thanks! He’s been with me about 2 years and has grown so much it make me giddy!
@FitSedum wow! Well he really is thriving πŸ˜πŸ’š I was given 3 agaves and they were potted together, I took one out and gave it its own pot and it’s about 12 inches tall and the other 2 stayed about 3-4 inches tall. It’s crazy how much they can grow when given the space!
@Propa that’s amazing! They really do need space since their roots get deep and wide. They are very invasive and compete for nutrients. His twin (Athena) has never been attacked by anything and she’s just as beautiful in her own pot. Here she is. Are yours in your oasis? Asking so I can stalk yours! ☺️
@Propa your oasis is a paradise of props! I love it! And Ares’s sister is called Aphrodite. πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ I had a brain fart. It doesn’t help that I was texting my neice Whom’s daughter is named Athena! πŸ˜…
@FitSedum lol I was about to say u might get lost in my oasis! I’m doing a ton of propping in preparation of trying to get an Etsy shop opened πŸ₯° here’s my littler ones I got brought to me in not great shape and then their bigger brother that exploded πŸ˜‚
@FitSedum oh Aphrodite is gorgeous too!!! Love herπŸ˜πŸ’š

Very Beautiful!!
Where did you buy it? Local greenhouse, or online, etc..
Love the shade of green on the leaves!
I did notice succulents are very forgiving. When I bought my Mezoo Trailing Red plants, they were overwatered and droopy, however, they ended up surviving and doing great. I still have them 7 months later, now as a houseplant for winter.
@L06flower I bought them from P&R plants in Arlington Texas!

Thanks for the info.
Very nice!
Good Luck!
