Trying random methods for marigold seeds

So I've tried several different methods on these seeds and never had any luck actually getting them to sprout so now I'm just trying random shit. I remember germinating seeds in Ziploc bags in elementary school so there's that, and then I've got 2 jars that I'm hoping will create a little greenhouse effect... One of each is going in the plant room where they'll get lots of warmth and bright light and the other two are going in the fridge for a few days before they go into the warm sun... Supposedly putting seeds in the fridge "forces the water into the seeds" so ๐Ÿคท we'll see! ๐Ÿคž (To be clear, I don't actually expect any of these to grow but it would be really cool if they did... ๐Ÿ˜‚) #sciencewithgreg #marigold
This is cool! Keep us updated ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ
Have you tried soaking them in water for a few days before sowing?

Some seeds require stratification where the temperature changes to force it out of dormancy.

I have two seed types in my fridge now for this very reason.

@AwesomePlants i had not heard of that but I did think about it tonight! Figured they'd just rot tho... I'll have to give it a try!!
