Iβm very new to plants, and I have 2 Peperomias. My Peperomia Hope has regrettably suffered a lot. She got fungus gnats and also dropped multiple leaves and stems along the way (long story). With what she has left, I can see there are some new buds, but Iβm not sure if I know how to revive her properly. Iβm also trying to propagate a few healthy stem cuttings in water to see if I can add them back in and make her fuller again, but I could use any advice anyone has about this plant. Thank you!

@YammieOf3 thank you! I agree that I overwatered her at first, which is why she got gnats. However, I let her dry out while I sporadically treated her for fungus gnats, and her leaves got very soft and wrinkly after that. I thought it was a sign that she was now too dry.
@Kski1992 you could try repotting her into a smaller more porous pot and use succulent/cactus mix. In my experience with Peperomias they can get root rot very easily. The soil should dry out between watering. Test the moisture level before adding any water by using your finger, a chopstick or a moisture meter.
@YammieOf3 Thank you for the advice. I think repotting with better soil would be a good idea. I was thinking about this, but I was afraid to stress her out even further. However, I think youβre right that she needs better conditions. I do have a moisture meter now, so Iβll keep using it.
@MamaLinne the problem is that I donβt have many bright areas to put them that arenβt right near the window. I did that with this one thinking the sun would help , but she ended up getting cold shock and dropping stems. Itβs safe to say Iβve learned a lot π
@Kski1992 thatβs what itβs all about! Iβve πmore plants than most people have owned lol! Check out Sansi grow lights. Theyβre great quality foe a reasonable price!
@MamaLinne Haha, I appreciate that! Thank you, Iβll check it out!

I definitely recommend getting a good gro light and putting her about 3 to 4 feet away from it.
Also....ample drainage is a must...let her drip dry for about 6 hours before putting her on top of her saucer.
Wishing you the best! π

@CutePolypremum thank you for this advice! I just put up a grow a light, and I made sure she has ample drainage. Sheβs actually hovering in that terracotta pot now because I have her in a slightly smaller nursery pot.
