Day 25: Sticky sap on my Snake Plant!

Day 25 of flower fever. @MariansOasis was right - there’s clear, sticky sap poised to drip from each bud. β˜‚οΈ #GregGang #SnakePlant #NewGrowth #SnakePlantSquad #planthairdontcare
10ft to light, indirect
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
My snake plant doesn’t have flowers. Do they get that eventually all of them
My understanding is that it’s fairly rare, but when a flower stalk does occur it’s in an older/more established plant that: 1) steadily gets bright but indirect light, and 2) is in a right-sized pot (not too big) with fast-draining soil.
@JeanwithaJ is totally right it is rare so this plant is very happy and healthy!
Beautiful!!
This is so cool 😍
Thanks for the cheer, y’all! @BlazingFreesia @KDkat3 @BlushingHippie
Mine has been doing it for a few weeks now😊
@Plantmumvirgin @FlawlessCassava Yes, isn’t it grand, great, and swell? 😍 οΏΌ
Wow this is super cool! I hope mine flowers one day :)
I didn’t even know they can flower!! Amazing!
What’s the best soil mix for a snake plant
@OodlesFantasy Best medium is a succulent / cactus mix β€” either pre-made or DIY. Here’s a recipe: https://www.thespruce.com/succulent-potting-soil-needs-5211045
