Weeks ago I had asked for advice for my Paradise Verde that was struggling to release her leaf. I didn't get an answer. This morning, I finally got tired of it. I used some water and a q-tip to help prise the leaf out. Just wanted to let anyone else who was struggling know that it worked. Just be gentle, and it should come out with no problem. #philodendron #plantaddict #plantsmakepeoplehappy #greggang

Hi Philli!

Sorry to hear you didn't get an answer to your question, but so glad it worked!!

I've found so many of my philos like to get stuck, especially in the cooler months ๐Ÿ™„

I usually try to wet them, too. A cotton swab, warm towel, wet my fingers, whatever I have time for. ๐Ÿคž For less stuck leaves during the summer!
@PlantMompy, thank you. Yes, I have some philos that get stuck repeatedly. I isually mist the area first. I was scared I would break the leaf today. I've done it before. ๐Ÿ˜… Thankfully, I didn't.
Oh, I've definitely broken a few leaves ๐Ÿคฆ
I had one particularly gnarly exit of a lead I was worried about and I covered it with a damp paper towel until it decided to emerge. I can see how a very gently assist would work well too!
