The most anticipated event of the season is back again! (Olympics and superbowl who??) it’s the #saplingdash!
It’s been a while since the last update, I’ve been super busy, and so have our aspiring saplings! Couldn’t be happier about the progress of our contestants today!
First, the #pigeonpea: really stealing the show! We’re watching closely for interference, it’s almost time for its own shelf so it doesn’t block the competitors!
In second place, #blacklocust! Look at all those little leaves! Keep up the pace and there’s gonna be a foliage fiasco!
Third place: our lovely #bluejacaranda! Slow and steady is this one’s motto! They’re really setting themselves apart with the fern like foliage it’s showing! Keep it up!
And in last place, we have #crapemyrtle, but folks, hold onto your seats, because for the first time since the beginning of this competition, we have growth!!! I’m so proud of them, they were down but they are not out!!!
The 4inch pots seem to be just what they needed. The backup saplings in the 2 inch pots seem a little more sad so they’re going to be getting their own pots pretty soon! Unfortunately the germination process did not go well, only one sprout from a blue jacaranda, and then they started to mold with the tray cover on! So nope! I removed the moldy ones, and took the cover off but there’s no new growth. So we have the full lineup now! Once’s everyone’s in their own pot well really see how many we’ve got!

Your crazy silly! I love it!! Thank you for the update! Hope they all cross the finish line happy and healthy! You have a ton of patients! It'll take so long for them to mature enought to survive outside!!! Good lucky! It looks like all your hard work is paying off! @ZestyWhiteghost who knows what the future holds haha, patience has never been a virtue of mine, but it’s something im working on, but im always enthusiastic for the journey hehe. I do love the idea of having a tiny tree I can keep for generations theoretically lol
