It's a tree, the ai in the apps gone 🤪
I’ve grown spearmint a few times. You will know for sure if you rub the leaves between your fingers and get that sweet mint smell.
It is hard to determine the species of the plant from a picture taken in this early stage. I would wait for it to develop more leaves and give it another try. But Greg is not the best for identifying plants and makes many mistakes. You could try Google instead.
What did you think it was?
Definitely looks like mint. Rub a leaf gently between your fingers and you'll know instantly. You'll smell the mint. There are a number of varieties.
It looks like it. Smell the leaves. Also you can try eating it and see if you like it or if you die
@IdkWhatIDoin this made me cackle 🤣🤣
Yes, it is mint.
Pinch a leaf and put in your cold water or any other liquid. It's terriff!
@Greencreations I just took this picture, im pretty sure its a maple tree.
Spearmint (Mentha spicata) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe and southern temperate Asia, also known as garden mint, common mint, lamb mint, and mackerel mint. It is widely cultivated for its distinctive fresh taste and fragrance, and used as a flavoring in food, herbal teas, and in traditional medicine for various ailments.
@IdkWhatIDoin well I judt tried to identify it again with the app and it is now telling me it is a sweet potato vine. I am positive It is just a maple tree.
