When repotting my #AlocasiaNinja I found two corms! I had never even seen corms, let alone have grown anything from them, so I headed to Google to research! After finding that you must peel off the brown outer shell and make sure they're facing the right way, I read to put them in sphagnum moss and keep them humid and moist until you have two leaves. Then you can transplant them in soil.
So now they have sprouted and I'm waiting for the leaves to come. So excited!! 😊

My black velvet Alocasia corms. I peeled off the brown but I started them in soil. I have dragon scale corms in soil now

They are basically like bulbs! Kind of a seed for a new baby plant. 😁
Ahhhh!!! So exciting!!! I’m always so scared to scrape the outer peel. Takes more time to sprout, but so rewarding! Sooo happy for you! πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ’–
