Does this plant still look alive? Hubby says it's not but i pointed out it's still green so it's still alive. What's the brown stuff? Sunburn?

It's very much alive! The brown if it happened all at once is low humidity or you left the soil dry out. I've always kept mine covered in a terrarium.
If it was slow it's just the life cycle with any plant they lose leaves and grow leaves. No leaf lasts forever.
Her pot looks like it plenty of water. So I would cover her with something to create more humidity. I don't think it's sunburn because the leaves underneath are also brown. 🩷

@SuperbRaspfern my moss came today. Is it supposed to smell like that? It stunk like a skunk. I moved him into another container. Not sold on this one either. I'll have to look at the thrift store.
No moss should not have a rotten smell. But an earthy smell like it just rained in the forest smell. It should never smell like skunk. I believe you though there are a few that smell like skunk, but nobody should have sold you one of those. That smell means is decaying and rotten. Perhaps it spent too long in shipping. What kind on moss did you buy and from where?

This...moss is got from Appalachian Moss. Maybe I'm not used to an earthy smell. I got spaghum @SuperbRaspfern
I'm incredibly glad you asked. It's a great question and it does need to be dealt with even though what you see is normal in a sense.
We just need to fine tune things a bit. Because the mold can spread to healthy plant tissue otherwise. Terrariums are great but they are a little work to find their "sweet spot".
There isn't any treatment to do, so it's fairly easy to handle.
***Always be cautious if someone ever recommends treatment for one of yours. They are incredibly sensitive and will usually die.
This is how to deal with it safely:
First trim off all of the brown dead bits, the mold commonly will grow on those parts. Just so you know it's incredibly common for mold on carnivorous plant due to their need for really high humidity. I want to reassure you on that. I need you to know you didn't do anything wrong. She's just a work in progress.
Next, figure out a way to crack the lid a bit, I always keep my lids cracked, that way you can prevent mold in the future. Start with about an inch of crack. The small amount of air circulation will help kill off the mold naturally.
If she starts to grow more crack it a little further. Just so she gets a little air circulation.
Watch her daily if you notice any further browning again then close the crack a bit.
You will have to play around a bit to get the perfect amount.
The domes I saw on top are they by any chance plastic?
If it's plastic a soldering iron is perfect for melting small holes in for air circulation. After she's cleaned up if you want to go that route they are under 10 bucks at Walmart. I use mine ALL the time for small cheap disposable plastic cups that I propagate in. One of the best things I ever purchased.
If not that's okay too, some of my terrarium I just keep the tops cracked permanently. If you ever keep a terrarium without a carnivorous plant. Then Rollie Pollies are your bestie, they eat mold. But in this case it won't work because your plant will eat them! 😳
