#PlantMail today came LATE (it’s 10 pm here) cause it was raining the whole day, but she arrives! I got her yesterday actually, saw in person but couldn’t take it with me then. My #Aglaonema ‘Frozen’ #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict
5ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
What is this one called? Is it an Aglonaema “Frozen”. I have been looking for the name of these kind.
@TheOddAsity it is called ‘Frozen’! I have been eyeing these for a while cause I really enjoy yellow leaves. Some of them have reach light shades of yellow that are some of the most beautiful things
@TheOddAsity I should mention the thing about Aglaonemas is that sometimes they tend to vary in their (given/popular) name from place to place or time to time, but you probably knew that. One good example is the ‘Red Stardust’ which some call ‘Kwaksup’. Despite this a light google search leads me to believe ‘Frozen’ is widely accepted.
@Gustavo I actually did not know that, so thank you!! I just kept typing in “yellow leaf aglonaema” and I can’t seem to pinpoint any given name. So that helps!
@TheOddAsity They are by far my favourites, so it is a bit annoying when you really want to find one and can't. Some are easier than others, but try finding a consensus on the one I mentioned for example, you're in trouble (at least where I get them).
I believe - could be really wrong here - it's because the studies on Aglaonemas are on fire, moving really fast, which includes the appearance of new plants. A perfect example is one I got yesterday said to be a 'Yellow Cochin,' which I had never heard of. I talked to my consultant which said she had heard of it but it was like months-old - a new plant lol (and to me, it's an Aglaonema Green Bowl).
@TheOddAsity oh, and add to that, they’re traditional plants in Asia for thousands of years, but who cared what their name was? They’re similar plants among them. We are the ones who need to name them so we can find them lol
Yeah, I saw one called an “Indonesian” aglo. And it was all buttery yellow with light green veins that turned almost brown near the stem. I have been looking and I don’t think there really is one called and Indonesia Aglo 🤷🏼‍♀️
@Gustavo 😂 so true!!
@TheOddAsity oh and finally, by the way, I’m in no way an expert - quite the contrary - but I do spend a lot of time studying them for fun, so feel free to ask whenever if you are searching for a specific aglaonema. :)
@Gustavo you know more than me!! I have 2
Such a pretty girl!💝
