Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Here is my rubber plant. Is about six years old and grew to a height of 6 feet. Unfortunately, this winter it was annihilated by an extended frost we had in Central Florida. It was too heavy for me to move, to safety, so every evening I covered it up with multiple long blankets. Despite my best efforts, it was hit hard. While trimming it back, about a month and a half ago, I discovered there was new growth under all the dead stems. It’s growing back with a vengeance. I’m so delighted to see it coming back. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #GrowLights #NewPlantMom #PlantCorner #OutdoorGrowing #PlantAddict @AdonicKohleria2 @BabeVila @BuffCaperspurge @CutePolypremum @DreamMachine @FamedGymealily @princesspitstop @HFplantoasis @SolaceInSunshine @TrueAchiote14 @PJsGarden @GreatestYuzu9
Yay! 🤗 She’s beautiful! 😍
The colors are stunning. Great that she's growing again. Maybe u should plan on what ur going to do after summer ends. Maybe get a small greenhouse. They have plenty of cheap plastic ones that will fit only a few plants. Or find some burly men to put it on a plant stand with wheels. Just a couple suggestions. Hate to see u go thru this every winter
@Malagueña Congratulations, you certainly did something right by getting your beautiful Plant back on its feet so to speak! This past winter was definitely one for the record books! Our plants that are in larger containers can get very heavy to move around. I always put plants that are in 10“ or larger containers on a stand with wheels when I first get the plant and I can still lift it. My current largest plant is a cornstalk plant and its growing It will also need a repotting into a yet larger container in the not too distant future, I am not looking forward to that task. It has toppled over twice in the last week and is now precariously leaning against a cabinet/Bookcase.
